A while back, I discovered Risograph printing: a process where a few colors are layered one at a time using large ink rolls. I was instantly hooked and inspired to create this rugged, digital-style piece of the Johns from They Might Be Giants, using just two layered ink colors, because their music is simply amazing.
Bryce's Dream
December 2024
I have found a fascination of the old, clunk 3D software. This was made in a program called Bryce3D. I had spent almost as much time figuring out how to install it than actually crafting this piece.
View from the Grass
December 2024
This one comes from an idea from a video made by the artist Louie Zong. He was showcasing his technique of making 2D illustrations in a 3D space. I decided to take that concept and try something on my own.
Music of Old
November 2024
Third of three pieces meant to be the cover images of Spotify playlists. This one is meant for a playlist of music that I'm nostalgic for. The PlayStation 3 controller is one of those objects that had a prominent role in my childhood: my first video game console was a PS3.
Calming Music
November 2024
Second of three pieces meant to be the cover images of Spotify playlists. This one is the cover for relaxing music. I find dark, warm streetlights relaxing, so I decided that was to be the centerpoint for this one.
Work Music
November 2024
First of three pieces meant to be the cover images of Spotify playlists. This playlist is meant for songs that I like to listen to while I work. The trophy symbolizes something related to my actual job, so I figured it'd be a fit.
Brutalist
October 2024
This one comes from a hyperfixation into brutalist architecture. People say it's ugly, but I find it more honest than other styles of architecture. Not to mention it just looks cool.
Away from Home
June 2024
This one came about when I moved away from my childhood home in Albuquerque. I wanted to remake it since I was afraid I might forget what it looked like. I've failed to remake the inside, so in a sense, I might still forget what the inside looks like.
Falling
May 2024
Made this as a proof of concept when I brought my VRChat avatar into Blender.
Pale World View
February 2024
A proof of concept render for a VRChat world I made. The world is open on VRChat, titled "Limina".
Cardboard Towers
October 2023
This piece was a proof of concept render for a world I was making with a friend of mine. The world was going to be a realm made entirely of cardboard. The subject of this piece is inspired heavily from a piece of Suguru Tanaka's. I have this friend to thank for most of my time spent in Blender; he showed me the ropes of it all.
Window 2
August 2023
My second ever render. I used some assets I downloaded for free from somewhere. I don't remember where I got them.
Red Brick Over Water
August 2023
My first ever Blender render. It uses an asset by sirrandalot on YouTube that simulates a full film camera in Blender, using actual physical light principles to do so. My poor roommate in the dorm I was sharing had to listen to my computer chug along all night.
